BIPP Inc.,
a business intelligence (BI) company that helps organizations use their data to
make better and faster decisions, is releasing the freebeta version of its
new business
intelligence platform and bippLang data modeling
language. The platform is enterprise-grade, in-database,
and cloud-based, while bippLang is a data modeling language that supports
collaboration, git-based
version control, and re-usable data models.
The bipp Platform and data modeling
language have been built from the ground up for data and BI analysts - the
former using SQL to query databases and the latter which leverage actionable
insights from BI software for strategic business decisions. The bipp platform
is complete with highly scalable tools that remove the roadblocks that make
other platforms challenging.
"Given the pressure for data-driven
decision making, organizations need something more robust than what's currently
available," said Vishal Joshi, co-founder of bipp. "With bipp's self-service
model, combined with in-database analytics, everyday users get deeper insights
from their data in real-time and can make critical business decisions faster."
bipp's bippLang data modeling language gets
analysts out of the cycle of revising queries for every question. The analyst
defines the model once using bippLang and clicks ‘Deploy Data Model.' Business
users can then fetch it and build visualizations using an intuitive sheet view.
bipp helps business users become
self-sufficient, letting them drag and drop the relevant columns when they have
new queries. bipp's AutoSQL generator leverages the
previously defined model and constructs a SQL query based on what the business
user selects. According to Angshuman Guha, co-founder of bipp, there are some
good BI products on the market, but there's room for improvement.
"Our difference is that we've built bipp from
the ground up using modern software development techniques to be intuitive for
data and BI analysts, the main BI platform users. We've removed the frustrating
back and forth between analysts and business users that is time-consuming and
makes it harder to use data to make critical decisions," added Mr. Guha.
bipp is launching now as an open beta and
is inviting data and BI analysts to sign up, explore, and
provide feedback. The full, enterprise-version of the platform is available for
free via https://bipp.io. The open beta
will run into Q1 2021, ahead of a planned enterprise launch.
