SolarWinds,
a leading provider of powerful and affordable IT management software,
today announced an expanded relationship with Tech Data Corporation, one
of the world's largest distributors of technology products, services,
and solutions. Previously exclusive to the United States and Canada, the
new distribution agreement now also includes all Central and South
American and Caribbean countries.
Used by more than 250,000
customers-including large enterprises to small businesses, managed
service providers (MSPs), government agencies, and educational
institutions-in more than 170 countries, the SolarWinds Orion
Platform and related products are designed to make IT professionals'
jobs easier. They solve a broad range of IT management challenges from
on-premises to the cloud-whether those challenges are related to
managing networks, servers, applications, storage, virtualization,
databases, the cloud, or a combination of these elements.
"We're
thrilled to expand our distribution relationship with Tech Data
Corporation into the Central and South American and Caribbean
countries," said Chris Benwell, senior vice president, sales,
SolarWinds. "While we're committed to our direct sales model, our
relationship with Tech Data Corporation and other key distribution
partners demonstrates our parallel commitment to the channel sales model
so we can best serve the needs of our customers no matter what their
situation may be. We're confident that Tech Data Corporation's expert
staff will provide the highest levels of service and value-added
benefits to our customers. We look forward to a long and fruitful
partnership."
Tech Data Corporation is authorized to
distribute the complete portfolio of SolarWinds products, many of which
integrate as modules into the SolarWinds Orion Platform, which enables
unified monitoring and management of cloud, on-premises, and hybrid IT
services. This includes SolarWinds Server & Application Monitor
(SAM), which provides deep visibility into the performance of
business-critical applications and the infrastructure that supports them
on-premises and in the cloud; SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor (NPM), which provides comprehensive network performance monitoring with the NetPath feature for critical path visualization on-premises and in the cloud; and SolarWinds Database Performance Analyzer (DPA), which features unique Multi-Dimensional Performance Analysis across on-premises and cloud database environments.
"As
the IT landscape rapidly evolves and becomes more complex, the need to
monitor, analyze, and manage networks and related applications has
remained constant and is crucial to avoid threats and performance
problems, as well as maintain business productivity," said Deena
Piquion, vice president of sales and marketing, Latin America Export,
Tech Data. "By expanding our relationship with SolarWinds, our partners
can help their customers maintain better visibility into their complex
network infrastructure regardless of the size of the company or project.
Partners will also be able to take advantage of Tech Data's unmatched
technical expertise and knowledge in creating monitoring solutions for
the many diverse technologies that prevail in today's IT environments."
