Interphase Introduces New clouDevice Models

Interphase Corporation today announced the introduction of new models of its clouDevice product line that offers a broad portfolio of desktop virtualization client solutions. The new models include the high-performance AMD-based clouDevice K10 thin client series and the multi-seat zero client clouDevice S011.

The clouDevice K10 series provides excellent virtual desktop support for 2D/3D content, HD video, and other media-intensive applications. It features the AMD G-T44R 1.2 GHz processor, Radeon HD 6250 graphics, Microsoft RemoteFX, and a wide scope of peripheral connectivity options. clouDevice K10 offers four client OS options: WES 7, WES 2009, Linux, and Windows Compact 7.

The clouDevice S011 delivers a true PC experience in a shared desktop environment running Windows MultiPoint Server. It can be easily connected to the host server with a USB cable. Unlike other USB-based clients that have a distance limitation of 16 feet, the clouDevice S011 can extend distance coverage to 39 feet, without the need for a repeater device.

“The introduction of K10 and S011 models further expands the breadth of the clouDevice portfolio,” said HJ Li, clouDevice business manager. “The K10 is a feature-rich client device that meets the needs of power users as well as knowledge workers. The S011 is ideal for K-12 schools and SMBs seeking a simple and low-cost client device that supports Windows MultiPoint Server.”

clouDevice virtual desktop client devices are an affordable and innovative substitute for traditional desktop computers, suitable for use in enterprise/SMB, education, and government environments. The product line includes thin clients for VDI (virtual desktop infrastructure), high-performance zero clients for remote physical desktop, and multi-seat clients for shared desktop deployments.
